AI connectors (MCP) for 3D tools
Setup notes for driving Rhino, Blender, Unreal and FreeCAD from Claude.
What it is
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant like Claude use other programs as tools (modelcontextprotocol.io). A connector is the piece that links one program to it.
For us: These are our setup notes so Claude can drive Rhino, Blender, Unreal Engine and FreeCAD. Rhino and Blender are verified and documented; Unreal and FreeCAD have only a one-line README so far.
How to start
- Open the setup guide for the tool you want (Rhino or Blender).
- Follow the install steps, then run the test prompt.
