Prototypes

Our shelf for design prototypes and documents - add an HTML file, get a link.

What it is

Prototypes is a small static website host we built: every prototype is a folder with an HTML page, and the index page lists them all with search and tags (repo). About 51 sites live in it. A prototype is a clickable mock-up or experiment; a document is something to read.

For us: The team uses it a lot to show and share design prototypes and write-ups under one link. It is deployed by dev push (Deploy (devpush)) on Hetzner (EX44 server, DNS) and carries the Origin Infinite (OI) domain.

Login: studio login (Authentik).

How to start

  1. Open the site and click + Add, pick an .html or .zip file, set the type (Prototype or Document), and fill in title and blurb. It goes live within a minute or so.
  2. Or work in git: create sites/YYYY-MM-DD-slug/ with index.html and meta.json (title is required), commit and push to main. Dev push redeploys.
